Texas Philanthropic Involvement

Giving back to our Texas community is our passion. Pelle Legna has been involved with raising charitible dollars both directly and indirectly since our inception.  Here is a list of some of the organizations who have a specail place in our heart.

Texas Cultural Trust, Board Member, Education Committe Chair

The Texas Cultural Trust, a 501(c)3 organization, was established in 1995 to increase the awareness and support for the arts to improve public education, to stimulate economic growth and to raise matching funds for the Texas Cultural Endowment Fund. The Texas Cultural Trust's mission is to provide leadership to promote and highlight the importance of the arts in educating our children and sustaining our vibrant Texas economy. Texas Women for the Arts, Chair

Texas Women for the Arts, a giving circle created by the Texas Cultural Trust, unites the financial forces of Texas women to fund initiatives for the arts and for arts education throughout Texas.  Members will choose the recipients and allocate the funds at their annual meeting in Amarillo in the spring of 2016.  Since its inception in 2005, Texas Women for the Arts has awarded nearly $1.6 million in grants to 99 arts organizations, impacting more than a million children across the state.

Trinity Mother Frances Women's Board, Member

TMF Women's Board is an organization that began in support of Trinity Mother Frances Women and Children services.  Today along with the Foundation, the Women's Board works throughout the year to raise funds and awareness to make sure that the less fortunate women and children of our community recieve necessary quality medical care.  At the same time they work to support TMF efforts to provide state of the art medical care for all women of east Texas.

Heart of Tyler, Wine Swirl Committee Member

Heart of Tyler is the community’s only 501©3 non-profit group completely dedicated to the revitalization of downtown.Our volunteer-driven organization partners with the City of Tyler, our members, business owners, property owners, community agencies and others to revitalize the downtown area. Thousands of hours of volunteer time are dedicated annually to projects such as arts development, business assistance, design projects, special events such as Festival on the Square and more.  The Tyler Wine Swirl is a super fun event to raise money to support Heart of Tyler efforts, as well as showcase the beautiful downtown Square.

The Boot Campaign, Sponsor and Host

Established in 2009, Boot Campaign began as a photo project and quickly evolved into a more proactive way for Americans to show their patriotism. We are dedicated to promoting patriotism for America and our military community; raising awareness of the unique challenges service members face during and post-service; and providing assistance to military personnel, past and present, and their families. Retail sales of combat boots, apparel and mission-focused merchandise, general public donations and corporate sponsorships fund programs that support military families. These efforts extend to all generations of military personnel who endure significant physical, emotional and circumstantial hardships resulting from their service and sacrifice.

Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation Sponsor and Host

Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation is to raise awareness, to honor, and to empower our Wounded United States Military Warriors, enabling them to assimilate back to daily life upon their return from combat. For more information, please visit: Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation

 

Azleway Children's Programs in Tyler, TX, Supporter

Established originally to provide a continuum of care to successful residents of Azleway Boys' Ranch and to provide long term homes for siblings of children in care at the Ranch, ACS also directly places children in its foster care program. ACS foster homes range from basic care homes to therapeutic and foster group homes and offer a safe, secure, and therapeutic home environment for children. SPCA of East Texas Animal Adoption Center Supporter

The SPCA of East Texas was founded in 2010, as a 501c3 non-profit organization by a group of Tyler citizens concerned for the welfare of animals in our community. SBCA's goal is to build a warm, family friendly, local animal services center. The center serves both the City of Tyler and Smith County in the rescue and adoption of as many homeless pets as possible. For more information, please visit: The SPCA of East Texas

Liberty Hall Theater in Tyler, TX Supporter

Liberty Hall is a project of The City of Tyler and was conceived by the City of Tyler and the East Texas Symphony Organization in an effort to promote tourism and business for downtown Tyler and the surrounding area.
